Hood Park

This morning we were in search of something to do and I thought it would be the perfect morning for a walk. What better place to walk than downtown to some of the local parks. Now these parks don't have playground equipment or "fun" stuff for the wee ones to play on, but are rather historical places in Perrysburg.
The bronze statue of Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry, the city 's namesake, is located at this historic city park . There is a beautiful viewing area that provides a birdseye view of Audobon Island on the Maumee River. Hood Park has a rich history www.historicperrysburg.org/history/perry.htm and www.historicperrysburg.org/history/hoodpark.htm

"We Have Met The Enemy, And They Are Ours!"
Louisiana Avenue Dock
This boat dock is located at the foot of Hood Park in downtown Perrysburg. There are no boat launching facilities at this dock. Visitors to Perrysburg are invited to tie up their boat to shop and dine in historic downtown Perrysburg.
Just a leisurely stroll down Front Street will take us right to Riverside Park. Let's head over there.
